JCP&L will be doing aerial inspections next week in the area.

If you're driving around Warren County next week and spy some low-flying helicopters, have no fear -- they're observing power lines, not you.

JCP&L will be doing aerial inspections of its transmission lines starting Monday and lasting up to two weeks, depending on weather. Pohatcong Township police said on Facebook that two helicopters will be flying slowly along the lines.

The helicopters will have tail numbers N748CB and N90TJ, police said. It was not clear how widespread this round of patrols will be.

Met-Ed -- a sister company of JCP&L in the First Energy family, and which serves parts of the Lehigh Valley -- completed its aerial inspections May 7, a spokesman there said.
