Federally funded meals area available at three Phillipsburg locations.
To combat this summertime hunger amoung area youth, the NORWESCAP Food Bank is offering free meals to children throughout Phillipsburg, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 19 through Aug. 25.
Healthy, federally funded summer meals will be available at three sites throughout Phillipsburg:
- The Phillipsburg Community Room, 535 Fisher Ave.
- Westminster Presbyterian Church, 137 Chambers St.
- Rocco's Pizzeria, 360 S. Main St.
The meals are available to children 18 years of age and under. Parents are not required to complete an application, nor provide identification for their children to receive meals, according to federal rules.
The meals must meet USDA nutrition standards, which call for protein, fruits and vegetables, juice or milk and low-fat, low-sugar options.
