The several-hour search ends successfully, police said.
UPDATE: 18 agencies helped find missing 77-year-old, police say
A 77-year-old Lopatcong Township woman who was missing since Tuesday morning was found alive several hours later near the solar field off Stryker Road, township police said.
Ann Marie Trimmer, of the 800 block of Honeybrook Circle, was alert and conscious, police Chief Jason Garcia said. He didn't know how she got there and was in the process just before 3:30 p.m. of notifying her family, he said.
She was found roughly a half-mile to a mile from her home.
The search, which began after 8:30 a.m. when she was reported missing and considered endangered, involved "a lot of great effort over here," Garcia said.
In addition to Lopatcong police, fire and EMS and Warren County emergency management, Phillipsburg, Greenwich Township, Stewartsville and Pohatcong Township contributed resources to the search. Other personnel were called in as the search continued.
