Former Stateliner Jess Kovatch is earning ink once again.
Phillipsburg High School graduate Jess Kovatch has returned to the magazine rack.
The rising sophomore at St. Francis (Pa.) University, who was featured in Sports Illustrated this winter, appears in the latest edition of SLAM magazine.
The Sept. 2016 issue features LeBron James on the cover. Kovatch is highlighted in the "Picture Me Ballin'" section, which includes the best of NCAA hoops.
The former Stateliner led all freshman with 20.9 points per game this past season, scoring a Northeast Conference-record 649 points. She was the NEC Newcomer of the Year, an All-NEC second-teamer and received conference Rookie of the Week honors 13 times.
