People often ask how we come up with places for our Cool Spaces feature.
House and garden tours are great ways to highlight homes in the area. For public places, it is often a matter of wanting to see beyond the road marker or sign. And, in many cases, it is readers who suggest where we should go and what we should highlight.
No matter which way, we discover a place and are rarely disappointed.
From interesting doorknobs to unusual but eye-pleasing decor, we decided to revisit some of the places where we we were lucky enough to be welcomed in 2016.
