A Phillipsburg woman escaped serious injury when she crashed into a tree Sunday morning in Lower Saucon Township, according to police.
Amber Heimer, 30, was reaching for a cup of coffee about 8:19 a.m. when her vehicle crossed over the opposing lane on College Drive and crashed into a fence and the tree on the opposite embankment, according to police.
She told police she was tired at the time.

The airbag deployed on her vehicle, and she was checked by Dewey EMS before refusing further treatment, police said.
Police said Heimer faces two traffic citations.
