The woman's luck changed after police responded and she was arrested as a fugitive from justice out of Warren County, police Lt. Matthew Gerould.

He did not release her name and was uncertain what charges she faced on the east side of the Delaware River.

She was sent to Central Booking at Northampton County Prison, he said.

Charlene Cumer, of the 1300 block of Northampton Street in Easton, was arraigned overnight before District Judge Richard Yetter III on a fugitive of justice charge, Yetter's court confirmed Thursday morning. Bail was set at $75,000 and she remains in prison.

Two men about 9:25 p.m. approached the woman and threw her to the ground, Gerould said. But she fought them off and didn't give them any money, Gerould said.

Wilson armed robbery attempts appear connected

During the course of the robbery try, a silver gun was fired, but it sounded to the victim like a cap gun, Gerould said. It is believed to be a pellet gun of some sort, he added.

There was no property damage and the woman wasn't wounded, Gerould said.

She had scrapes and bruises from being thrown to the ground, but declined further treatment, Gerould said.

One of the robbers is described as a short black man wearing dark clothing but light-colored jeans and a green baseball hat with hair coming out, Gerould said.

The other man was white or light-skinned black, wearing a grey hoodie, grey sweatpants and a grey hat, Gerould said.

No one was in custody as of Thursday morning.

The robberies are possibly related to similar crimes Wednesday night in Wilson Borough, Gerould said. The departments are working together on the cases, Gerould said.
