Crews battled the fire for more than an hour Saturday.
A wood-burning stove led to a shed catching fire Saturday afternoon in Franklin Township, Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police.
State police Sgt. Jeff Flynn said crews were dispatched at 12:21 p.m. to 188 Anderson Road. The stove inside the shed somehow led to the rest of the structure igniting, Flynn said.
"A preliminary investigation showed nothing suspicious," Flynn said.
A witness at the scene reported flames shooting out of the roof of the detached shed. There were no reported injuries and the homeowner was home at the time, according to Flynn.
A tanker task force was activated to supply water since there were no water mains or fire hydrants in the area. A tanker fill site had to be stationed along Shurts Road at the Muscontcong River, in which an engine drafted water out of the river to replenish the tankers.
Anderson Road was closed in both directions between Halls Mill Road and Hidden Valley Way during the incident. New Jersey State Police at the Washington station reopened the road by 1:50 p.m.
Also responding to the call were the Washington Township Fire Department, Washington Borough Fire Department, Hampton Fire Department, Bloomsbury Fire Department, Franklin Township Rescue Squad and Warren County fire coordinators.
